Morville Parish Council welcomes questions, comments and suggestions from residents across Morville, Acton Round, Aston Eyre, Monkhopton and Upton Cressett.

The Parish Clerk is the principal point of contact for the Council and can help with:

  • general enquiries about the Parish Council;
  • matters you would like to bring to councillors’ attention;
  • questions about meetings, agendas and minutes;
  • requests for information or documents;
  • correspondence for the Chair or councillors; and
  • enquiries about speaking at a council meeting.

Parish Clerk: Rosie Buggins-Allsop
Email: clerk@morville-pc.gov.uk

Please note that the Clerk’s working hours are limited. Messages will be answered as soon as reasonably possible, but an immediate response may not always be available.

Residents are welcome to contact any parish councillor about matters affecting the local community.

Individual councillors can listen, offer guidance and raise matters with the Council, but they cannot make decisions on behalf of the Parish Council. Formal decisions must be made collectively at a properly convened public meeting.

Members of the public are welcome to attend Parish Council meetings. A public participation period is normally provided near the beginning of each meeting, giving residents an opportunity to ask questions or raise matters of local concern.

If your enquiry requires a formal decision, it may need to be included on the agenda for a future meeting. Please contact the Clerk as early as possible.

Many local services are managed by Shropshire Council or another public authority rather than the Parish Council.

Problems such as potholes, damaged road signs, blocked highway drains, faulty streetlights and overgrown vegetation affecting roads or pavements can be reported directly through FixMyStreet or the Shropshire Council website.

For waste collections, Council Tax, social care and other local authority services, please contact Shropshire Council.

Morville Parish Council may comment on planning applications affecting the parish, but it does not decide whether planning permission is granted.

Residents wishing to comment on an application should submit their representations directly through the Shropshire Council planning portal.
